Job description
Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN Department) Area: East Ham, East London Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Temporary or Permanent contract available School: Mainstream Secondary School Salary: 96.20-110, dependant on full-time experience Working hours: 08:20 - 15:40 About the school: A well-regarded, mixed secondary school in East Ham, East London. About the Role: Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the ASD Unit within a thriving mainstream secondary school. The role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) across KS3 to KS5. We're looking for a compassionate and proactive candidate to: Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) across KS3 to KS5 Deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions focused on communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and academic engagement Support the implementation of EHCP targets, individual support plans, and communication strategies Use structured approaches, visual supports, and personalised strategies to meet individual learning needs Encourage positive behaviour and support students in managi...
