Job description
English Teacher (QTS Required) – Rochdale
Are you a qualified English Teacher looking for your next opportunity in a supportive and ambitious secondary school? An exciting opportunity has become available at a well-regarded secondary school in Rochdale for an enthusiastic and dedicated English specialist.

The Role
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and creative lessons that challenge and motivate students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure pupils achieve excellent outcomes and are fully prepared for their examinations and future aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage learners of all abilities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Support students in achieving strong outcomes in examinations and coursework.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback to drive improvement.
- Contribute to the wider school community and the ongoing success of the English department.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for teaching and learning.
- A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student development.
