The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Dyslexia, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech & Language needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning needs
• Promote independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support
• Build positive, trusting relationships that enable students to thrive both academically and socially

We're Looking For

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia or other additional needs is highly desirable
• Calm, patient and resilient individuals
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive, proactive and flexible approach
• A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning

Qualifications in Education, Psychology, Health & Social Care or related fields are welcomed but not essential.
