The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Dyslexia, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech & Language needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning needs
- Promote independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support
- Build positive, trusting relationships that enable students to thrive both academically and socially

We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Experience with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia or other additional needs is highly desirable
- Calm, patient and resilient individuals
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive, proactive and flexible approach
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning
Qualifications in Education, Psychology, Health & Social Care or related fields are welcomed but not essential.
