Forklift Operator

Right Now Group are recruiting for a large cargo ground handler at Heathrow, who are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator with previous Counterbalance Forklift experience.

\n

You will be joining a prestigious Ground Handler within a dynamic and busy warehouse environment, working alongside airline partners to ensure cargo is handled safely and securely around the world.

\n

Key Responsibilities of a Forklift Operator

\n

\n
• Load and unload vehicles carrying a variety of cargo using Counterbalance Forklift trucks and other mechanical equipment.
\n
• Carry out manual handling duties safely and efficiently.
\n
• Use hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo.
\n
• Process cargo paperwork in accordance with client requirements.
\n
• Assist with the breaking and building of ULDs, including PAGs, PMCs and AKEs.
\n
• Check incoming cargo for discrepancies, damage or any areas of concern during unloading.
\n
• Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout the warehouse environment.
\n

Skills & Experience Required for a Forklift Operator

\n

\n
• Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience is essential.
\n
• Previous warehouse or cargo handling experience is desirable.
\n
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
\n
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties within a busy warehouse environment.
\n
• Ability to work a rotating day and night shift pattern.
\n
• Ability to successfully complete a 5-year checkable employment/education history.
\n
• Ability to successfully complete a DBS check.
\n

Salary & Benefits for a Forklift Operator

\n

\n
• Salary: £32,000 - £33,000.
\n
• Location: Heathrow.
\n
• Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off.
\n
• 2 Days: 06:30 - 18:30 2 Nights: 18:30 - 06:30.
\n
