We have a fantastic city center office in the heart of Edinburgh and fully embrace a hybrid home/office working model, with an aim for 2 days in the office.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with talented engineers to build high performing teams. A successful candidate will have strong coaching and motivational skills to enable highly technical teams to achieve results in a fast paced environment. • Collaborating with the wider organization to achieve our strategic objectives.

Basic Requirements

What we are looking for in you:

  • 3 or more years of experience in leading people and software engineering teams.

  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI tools for optimizing engineering processes and team performance.

  • Track record of your teams delivering on time.

  • A natural ability to inspire and motivate.

  • Drive for continual learning.

  • Exposure to Scrum or other Agile frameworks.

  • Knowledge of modern software development lifecycles (SDLC).

  • Cloud and/or DevOps experience on a product with a large customer base and global reach.

  • Passionate about CI/CD and release trains, delivering a regular cadence of features and quality improvements.

  • Mastery in any programming language (C++, Go, TypeScript, …).

  • Lead by example, exceed expectations and go above and beyond.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Does this sound like you? We'd love you to apply, even if you don't meet 100% of the requirements and qualifications.

In return for your expertise, we’ll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way. Also, to reward your hard work you’ll get:

  • Competitive salary and bonus schemes.

  • Two weeks additional pay per year (holiday bonus).

  • 25 days holiday entitlement + bank holidays.

  • Attractive defined contribution pension scheme.

  • Employee stock purchase plan.

  • Flexible working options.

  • Private medical care.

  • Life assurance.

  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay.

  • Career development support and wide ranging learning opportunities.

  • Employee health and wellbeing support EAP, wellbeing guidance etc.

  • Carbon neutral initiatives/goals.

  • Corporate social responsibility initiatives including support for volunteering days.

  • Well known companies discount schemes.

We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace spawns innovation – the more diverse our employees are, the more ideas and talents we have to excel as a leader in the technology sector. If you would like to be part of a dynamic team of people who are ambitious, focused, and hardworking then we look forward to meeting you!
