Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a large mixed secondary school in Bury to appoint a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to join their team of support staff from September 2026.
Key details:
- Competitive pay with no umbrella or agency fee
- Paid weekly, every Friday via PAYE
- Full-time role, Monday – Friday

Within this role, you will deliver one-to-one interventions to students requiring additional support within the classroom, as well as assisting small groups of students with their knowledge of the curriculum and completion of set work. You will also work closely with the class teacher to prepare and plan lessons in line with the national curriculum and schemes of work.
Our client school require a teaching assistant who is flexible with working across KS3 and KS4, within a variety of subjects and pupil ability.
Role requirements:
- Level 2 certificate or above in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desired.
- Experience supporting children up to the age of 16
- Proactive and passionate about working in education
- Registration required through Teaching Personnel prior to start
This secondary school is located in Bury, making it easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Salford, Rochdale and Bolton via bus, tram or car (on-site parking).
