Account Executive

Join our specialist team as an Account Executive, supporting clients across a wide variety of commercial risks, including the more specialist coach, bus and haulage sectors. As part of a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting, you'll work with established mid-market clients while developing your expertise within a highly respected and collaborative team. This is a broad commercial insurance role, managing and developing client relationships across a range of risks. While the portfolio includes motor insurance and transport-related accounts, we're keen to hear from experienced commercial Account Executives from any sector background who are looking to specialise or broaden their expertise. You'll join a well-established team with a strong reputation in the transport market, supported by long-standing client relationships, quality new business opportunities and a dedicated in-house claims function. The role offers the autonomy to grow your portfolio while being backed by experienced colleagues and market specialists. We're flexible on location and open to home-based candidates. You'll attend strategic team meetings approximately 1-2 times per month, typically in London/West Malling, with the remainder of your time worked remotely and traveling to clients. How you'll make an impact Manage the renewal process for your clients, gathering information and discussing terms to secure the best outcomes. Maintain and grow your book of business by identifying and acting on new opportunities. Build strong relationships with brokers to access competitive terms that meet your clients’ objectives. Visit clients as needed, showcasing your interpersonal skills and commitment to excellent service. Handle account queries and credit control matters, resolving issues promptly and escalating concerns when necessary. About You You have a strong experience of general insurance products, services, and classes of insurance, as well as knowledge of the London Market, Lloyd’s, and the wider industry. Strong sector experience in transport (coach & bus and/or haulage) is highly desirable. Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII would be an advantage. Educated to GCSE/A-Level standard or equivalent, with an intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance industry You’re detail-oriented, with excellent administrative skills and a focus on accuracy. You’re passionate about delivering outstanding client service and building lasting relationships. You’re proactive and driven, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
