Grimshaw is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome people from all backgrounds and recognise that in order to be successful, we need to create an inclusive environment where everyone can reach their potential and succeed.

The Opportunity

We're looking for talented Part 2 Architectural Assistants to join our London studio. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on internationally significant projects while developing your skills in a supportive, collaborative environment where your ideas and contributions are valued.

You'll work across all project stages, contributing to design development, technical documentation, and project delivery.

  • Create architectural drawings, models, and presentations that bring ideas to life
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, consultants, and clients
  • Help deliver sustainable, net-zero ready buildings aligned with our environmental ambitions
  • Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and client presentations
  • Develop your technical knowledge of construction detailing and materials
  • Work with BIM and digital design tools to support innovative project delivery
  • Learn from and contribute to a culture of shared knowledge and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

You'll have:

  • ARB/RIBA Part 2 qualification (or international equivalent)
  • Strong design skills with excellent visual communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Understanding of building regulations and construction methods
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
  • Genuine passion for sustainable design

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience on large-scale or complex projects
  • Knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper, or other parametric design tools
  • Interest or experience in net-zero buildings or regenerative design
  • International project experience or exposure to different design contexts
  • Skills or perspectives that bring fresh thinking to our teams

Most importantly, we're looking for people who:

  • Are curious, creative, and eager to learn
  • Thrive in collaborative environments
  • Want to contribute to meaningful, sustainable architecture
  • Bring diverse perspectives and approaches to problem-solving

What We Offer

Career Development:

  • Support for Part 3 studies including a full fee bursary and continuing professional development
  • Mentoring from experienced architects and access to specialist expertise
  • Opportunities to work on internationally recognised projects
  • Potential to work across our global offices

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Profit share bonuses
  • Pension contributions
  • Health insurance
  • Income protection

Work Environment:

  • Regular design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance
  • Collaborative international network across 7 offices
  • Investment in the latest design technology and tools
  • Commitment to your wellbeing and professional fulfilment

Please make sure that your CV and portfolio are ATS friendly.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

Grimshaw is committed to building a diverse team and creating an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work. We particularly encourage applications from groups currently underrepresented in architecture.

We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

If you need any adjustments to our recruitment process, please let us know. We're here to support you.
