The Role\n
\n- Perform comprehensive wellness and medical examinations, form treatment plans, and manage follow-up care\n
\n- Communicate clearly with clients to educate and guide decisions\n
\n- Conduct diagnostics and perform general surgery and dentistry as appropriate\n
\n- Maintain accurate, timely medical records\n
\n- Prescribe medications and follow controlled-substance protocols\n
\n- Partner with hospital leadership to refine workflows, uphold standards, and support team efficiency\n
\n- Monitor in-hospital cases and participate in case discussions or rounds\n
\n- Contribute to ongoing practice improvements and training initiatives\n
\n- Additional responsibilities as needed to ensure high-quality patient and client experiences\n

Requirements\n
\n- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution\n
\n- Current New York veterinary license (or ability to obtain promptly)\n
\n- DEA registration (or eligibility to secure)\n
\n- Eligibility to work in the United States\n
\n- Strong medical, surgical, and dental skills; excellent communication and teamwork\n
\n- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds\n
\n- Experience with small animals required; interest in exotics is welcome but not essential\n
