Job Title: Site Manager (Carpentry Background)

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced, hands-on Site Manager with a strong Carpentry background to manage a short-term contract overseeing the fit-out and refurbishment of small industrial units across Birmingham.
This is a fast-paced role ideal for a manager who isn't afraid to lead from the front, inspect quality closely, and draw on their trade knowledge to solve on-site issues and keep subcontractors moving on schedule.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day site operations across small industrial unit refurbishments and fit-outs.
Manage, schedule, and direct sub-contractors and trades to ensure project milestones are met.
Apply your carpentry expertise to inspect timber framing, joinery, panelling, and door sets for quality assurance.
Enforce site Health & Safety compliance, lead daily toolbox talks, and maintain RAMS.
Act as the key point of contact for the main contractor, client reps, and trade teams.
