Location: Hull
Salary: £93 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education Hull are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Hull.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive difference to the learning, development and wellbeing of children and young people.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will provide support to pupils both in and outside of the classroom, helping them to develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.

The Role As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.

  • Help pupils access the curriculum and overcome barriers to learning.

  • Support students with their academic, social and emotional development.

  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.

  • Promote positive behaviour and positive relationships.

  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and resilience.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents/carers where appropriate.

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

The Ideal Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

  • Has experience working with children or young people.

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

  • Is patient, caring, enthusiastic and reliable.

  • Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Is able to support pupils with a range of learning needs.

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Previous experience within a school, nursery, college, care setting or other educational environment would be highly desirable.
