We're looking for caring, positive and motivated Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist school in the Andover area. The school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff to help pupils engage with learning, develop socially and emotionally, and achieve their individual goals.
Every day is different, but your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups

Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning where needed

Encouraging confidence, communication and independence

Supporting pupils to regulate emotions and develop positive behaviours

Building trusting and supportive relationships

Promoting social development and everyday life skills

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider school team

Supporting pupils during transitions, breaktimes and enrichment activities
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are patient, compassionate and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
Experience is welcomed but isn't essential. We value the right attitude just as much as previous experience, and full support will be provided as you settle into the role.
