Job description

A warm, welcoming, and inclusive primary school in the BS3 area is looking to appoint an experienced and qualified Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community and play a key role in helping pupils navigate an important stage of their primary education. You will inspire learners, build confidence, and support children to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will provide strong, consistent classroom leadership, creating a positive and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued and motivated to succeed.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering creative and engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Supporting pupils in developing strong foundations in English and Mathematics
  • Preparing children for statutory assessments while promoting a positive attitude towards learning
  • Creating a classroom culture built on high expectations, mutual respect, and achievement
  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and the wider school community

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has recent experience teaching within a primary classroom setting
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Is confident delivering high-quality English and Mathematics lessons
  • Can establish effective routines and maintain excellent standards of behaviour
  • Builds positive and professional relationships quickly
  • Is passionate about helping every child thrive and reach their full potential

What we need to clear you

  • A valid passport or proof of your right to work in the UK
  • Two proofs of address
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education history, with any employment gaps explained
  • An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
