SEN Teaching Assistant – Bolton

We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join one of our supportive partner schools in the Bolton area on a full-time basis.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and SEN professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with additional learning needs. This rewarding role will involve a combination of 1:1 support, small-group interventions, and classroom assistance, helping pupils to engage with learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support in line with work set by the class teacher
- Assisting with targeted interventions in subjects such as English, Maths, and Science
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop confidence and independence
- Acting as a positive role model and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns in line with school policies
Candidate Requirements
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- Transferable experience from education, care, support work, mentoring, youth work, or similar sectors
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
- A minimum of two professional references, including one from your most recent employer

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
