The Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster School health Service are developing their school nursing workforce and are offering School Staff Nurse Band 5 positions that can be a gateway for the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (school nursing) (SCPHN).

Main duties of the job

We are looking for enthusiastic nurses from a variety of backgrounds and experience to join our team.

School Staff Nurses manage a school nursing case load for a group of schools, with the support and supervision of Band 6 SCPHN School Nurses within a large skill mixed team. The team provides a universal and targeted school nursing service to mainstream primary and secondary schools, pupil referral units and special schools across the Bi-Borough.

The post holder will work in partnership with professionals from multiple agencies to meet the health needs of a specific population of children and young people within a group of schools, together with their families and the wider community where this is relevant. The Post holder will have sufficient post registration nursing experience in a children’s / Paediatric or adult setting and can demonstrate experience in effective multi agency working.
