The Role – SEMH Teaching Assistant
We’re looking for a committed and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected all-through mixed SEMH school in Greenwich. The school caters to students aged 5–16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom face additional challenges such as ADHD, ASD, SLCN, MLD, and other conditions including Tourette syndrome, tics, and epilepsy.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide essential support to pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Your role will involve promoting positive behaviour, helping students stay engaged in learning, and contributing to a calm, structured, and therapeutic school environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support and will be confident in managing challenging situations with empathy and consistency.

Located in the London Borough of Greenwich, this all-through SEMH school supports around 100 students aged 5–16 with a range of complex needs.
