The team work on a 6-week rolling rota which includes working 1 weekend every 6 weeks and 1 bank holiday each year. There is a 6% allowance given as compensation.

As an 'Community Based Worker' position, the role will involve a combination of remote, community and office based working. There will be an expectation for you to attend the office based at Ely House, Basildon, approximately 2-3 days per week in addition to 'as and when' there is a business need.

The Role :

As a Community Support Worker, you will be undertaking assessments and reviews in line with our statutory duties under the Care Act to identify eligible needs and to then generate a person-centred and outcome focused support plan. You will be working in partnership and developing relationships with both internal and external colleagues / partners to achieve the best outcomes for Adults and Carers.

This is a "community-based" role, so you can expect to be regularly visiting residents in their home, meeting colleagues and working in the office as well as working from home.

You can expect a varied role, supporting adults of all ages (18+). Working as part of a supportive and knowledgeable team that encourages your career development and growth. You will demonstrate a commitment to learning and development to support yourself and the team to deliver the best service possible. An induction and appropriate training will be provided.

We're a large Adult Social Care service, which prioritises residents of Essex having as much choice and control over the way they live their lives as possible. We think everyone should have the chance to live a full and fulfilling life with people they love and care about, doing things that matter to them and living in a place they can call home. We're determined that with the right support, everyone can maintain or achieve some independence and we're proud to be working to make these ambitions a reality.
