This role includes providing 1 : 1 support for a Year 1 pupil with mild autism, assisting them to access learning and thrive in the classroom.

About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role :

Support a Year 1 child with mild autism on a 1 : 1 basis

Work directly with the class teacher and SENCO

Use visual aids, structured routines, and gentle encouragement to support both learning and development

Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development

Communicating effectively with the wider staff team and parents

About You :

Previous experience assisting children with autism or other special educational needs (desirable)

Be both caring and committed

Able to build strong relationships with both children and staff

Is enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and responsibilities in a rewarding school role

Be able to commute to Waltham Forest, London
