Electrical Project Manager

Client : Our client is a traditional privately owned M&E contractor based in Kent. The business turns over £35M+ undertaking projects in the retail banking, government, commercial office and healthcare sectors. Their average project size is between £500K and £8M, with the majority of their projects being located in central London. Having been established over 50 years they benefit from being a preferred contractor for major blue chip clients, client include : ISG, Willmott Dixon, Barclays and HSBC. This means they have a continuous and stable workflow. Having appointed a new Managing Director and with a forecasted £40M turnover for the year the business is looking to appoint an Electrical Design Manager.

Role : Electrical Project Manager - £65,000 - £75,000 + Travel + Healthcare + Pension + Bonus

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Project Management of various building services projects throughout London from the values of £500K - £5m MEP value. Typically the company operates in the following sectors : Commercial Offices, Retail Banking and Government projects.

The successful candidate will be based on a Healthcare project in Essex, with future projects likely to be in London.

Role / Responsibilities :

• Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
• Technical submittals
• RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
• Value Engineering where applicable
• Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project
• Health & Safety management (RAMs)
• Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
• Management of variations
• Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
• Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
• Overseeing commissioning stages
• Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover
