The Role and Team
Client Development Manager (CDM) is the face of apetito and is crucial to the success of apetito customer partnerships.
This is an Account Manager style role to enhance our proposition through bringing to life our ‘Passion for Service’ value supporting existing and new customers with a clear view of keeping customers longer and enabling us to grow faster.
As well as deliver on our ‘Passion for Service’, you’ll be pivotal to the retention of business and securing long term partnerships with your customer base of 35-45 accounts. You will need to allocate customers based on revenue and growth opportunity into differing service tiers from email, phone, online and in person service to ensure effective use of time and delivery of opportunities.
This role is suited to a self-starter, (after a thorough induction) you’ll manage your own diary and need to allocate your time wisely, ensuring customer service levels and relationships are sustained as well as delivering on growth opportunities. Experience in a Catering Consultant or Account Manager role would be ideal foundations to build on.
You need to be happy working independently to achieve your objectives whilst also being a team player who contributes in a team environment to deliver shared objectives. Although this is a remote role, you will frequently work with other colleagues from within the team, a cohesive team culture is really important to us.
This role covers the Midlands east of the M1, including : Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Notts, N. Northants & Rutland.
You'll be based from home with 3-4 days per week in your region with customers and some overnight travel will be required.

The CDM would typically manage a portfolio of around 35-45 customers with a key focus on budget control, delivering training needs, product presentations and dispute resolution.
The role will also be expected to promote apetito throughout the Care Homes marketplace through extensive networking.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven organisational and training skills. Whilst a significant amount of their time will involve working alone you must be a team player who is happy to work within the team to meet joint objectives.
As this role involves working with elderly and vulnerable customers, it is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an Standard DBS Disclosure.
