We’re searching for a calm, caring, and confident Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in North Tyneside

The role :

You’ll be the steady hand in the classroom, helping pupils regulate, re-engage, and succeed in their learning. Whether it’s supporting one-to-one or working with small groups, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe and positive learning environment.

What you’ll be doing :

Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs

Using de-escalation techniques to keep classrooms calm

Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to put tailored strategies in place

Building trust, encouragement, and consistency with pupils who need it most

What we’re looking for :

Experience working with children or young people (in schools, youth work, care, or similar)

A calm, positive approach under pressure

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A passion for helping every child succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
