Are you looking to make a difference in prison education?We have a great opportunity to join the education team at HMYOI Wetherby as a support and Progression Manager on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.What the role entailsTo lead the IAG / Mentor team to deliver a holistic and impartial guidance service to all students in youth custody, whilst maintaining a client centred Matrix standard of IAG services that meet the needs of the population.To lead on pastural care for all students, whilst closely working with delivery teams to ensure student well being, providing emotional support, managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.What we need from youTo be successful in the role you will need : Proven track record of effectively managing a high performing teamRelevant experience of conducting initial assessments and supporting learning of individuals and GroupsExperience of working with groups of learners with a range of abilities and presenting challenging behaviourExperience of successful working in an effective multi-disciplinary teamTo hold a level 6 qualification in Careers Information, Advice and Guidance qualification or equivalent, or be willing to work towards within 12 monthsEducated to level 2 in literacy and numeracyIdeally, you will want to be a part of a team who has at its core a focus on improving lives and enabling and equipping learners to develop, grow and be equipped for a life of work and success.
