Learning Support Assistant (SEND School) - South LiverpoolFull-Time, Long-Term RoleTradewind RecruitmentTradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a fantastic SEND school in South Liverpool. The school caters to children aged 3-19 years old, with a focus on supporting those with a diagnosis of Autism and other associated needs.As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students in their daily learning activities, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to succeed. The role may involve working with individual students on a 1 : 1 basis, particularly those with behavioural or emotional difficulties, helping them to engage in lessons, socialise, and build confidence.Key Responsibilities : Provide tailored support for children with Autism and other special educational needs.Assist students with learning activities in the classroom and during individual sessions.Help with behaviour management and emotional support, particularly for children with challenging behaviours.Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive, inclusive environment.Monitor and report on student's progress.The ideal candidate will have : Previous experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs.Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related conditions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Experience in managing challenging behaviour is highly desirable.Why Tradewind?Competitive pay rates, with weekly pay and no umbrella companies.Supportive and collaborative team environment.Long-term role with the opportunity for professional development.Ongoing support from the Tradewind team, including training and resources.This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with additional needs.
