About Community Integrated Care
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the 'Care in the Community' agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we've remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Who you'll be supporting & more about the role
We are recruiting for Female Support Workers to expand our team in Wick. We can offer a contract for 30 hours per week.

We are looking for staff to work flexibly on the following shifts:

  • Monday - Wednesday and Friday: 9am - 5pm
  • Thursday: 9am - 9pm
  • Ad hoc weekends
  • Occasional sleepovers

In this role you will support a friendly, sociable gentleman to build confidence, stay safe and live as independently as possible.

The gentleman has his own mobility vehicle, so you would need to hold a full UK driving license to help support him to access the community.

Our support team are experienced and work well together to ensure the person we support are happy and safe in his own home. This will include support with:

  • Administering medication
  • Cooking
  • Personal care
  • Maintaining his home and managing his finances

The gentleman we support enjoys swimming and social clubs, attending college, arts and crafts, gaming, cooking and baking. He is looking for staff who enjoy some of the same things and who are patient and reliable, with a good sense of humour. Previous experience of supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy etc would be an advantage.

About you
At Community Integrated Care, we know it takes someone special to work in social care and that doesn't always mean having experience. We hire based on values, welcoming people from all walks of life: seasoned support workers, Care Assistants, Veterans, those with lived experience, or even total newbies with a passion to care.
