The ideal candidate will be well-versed in freight forwarding operations, with a strong understanding of road freight and sea freight operations, groupage, FCL, LCL, and customs brokerage processes for import and export. Road and Sea Freight Import / Export specialist responsibilitiesCoordinate and manage import and export operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policiesArrange and track road freight and sea freight, groupage, FCL, and LCL shipmentsOversee customs clearance and ensure proper documentation for both import and export processesCommunicate with international clients and suppliers to facilitate the smooth transportation of goodsHandle any issues related to import and export logistics, and provide timely solutionsStay updated on industry regulations and market trends to optimise import and export processes Experience to requireProven experience in import and export operations, preferably in a freight forwarding environmentIn-depth knowledge of road freight and sea freight operations, groupage, FCL, LCL, and customs proceduresStrong understanding of import and export regulations and documentation requirementsExcellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with international partnersProficient in relevant software and systems for tracking and managing import and export shipmentsCertification in import, export customs regulations and procedures is a plusKnowledge of international trade Day-to-dayCollaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient import and export processesCommunicate with international partners to track and manage shipmentsStay informed about changes in import and export regulations and adjust processes accordinglyProvide guidance and support to colleagues on customs and import / export documentationAnalyse import and export data to identify opportunities for optimisation and cost savingsEnsure customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information on import and export logistics WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
