About the SchoolWe are recruiting on behalf of a weing and inclusive Primary School in Slough seeking an experienced School Administrator to join their busy school office on a temp-to-perm basis.This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive and highly IT-literate administrator with previous school-based experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school office, ensuring efficient administration and providing excellent customer service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
The RoleThe School Administrator will provideprehensive administrative support, manage pupil data, assist withmunications and contribute to the smooth operation of the school office.A strong knowledge of SIMS and excellent IT skills are essential. Experience using Canva to create professional schoolmunications, newsletters, displays and promotional materials is also required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain pupil records using SIMS.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff.
- Answer telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Wee parents, visitors and pupils to the school.
- Produce reports, letters and schoolmunications.
- Create newsletters, posters, displays and promotional materials using Canva.
- Support admissions, attendance and general pupil administration.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records.
- Assist with school events, parentmunications and marketing activities.
- Ensure confidential information is handled appropriately and in line with GDPR requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a school administration role.
- Strong working knowledge of SIMS.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other administrative systems.
- Experience using Canva to create professional documents andmunications.
- Outstanding organisational andmunication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy school environment.
- Professional and friendly manner with parents, pupils and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a primary school setting.
- Attendance, admissions or pupil data experience.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures within education.
