Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers of complex care. We proudly employ over 4000+ people - no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.
We are currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist (experience equivalent to Band 7) to join our caring and supportive team at Holybourne Hospital.
Located in Roehampton, Holybourne is an Adult Mental Health hospital for people of all genders with severe and complex mental health conditions. We are committed to providing high quality intensive treatment in a clinically safe, caring, and secure environment. We play a crucial role in supporting the NHS when intensive care needs cannot be met locally.
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be part of a friendly, collaborative multi-disciplinary team supporting people over the age of 18 who may be admitted to us informally or may be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007). We can also admit patients who require detoxification from alcohol or drugs or patients who are under a revoked Community Treatment Order (CTO).
Holybourne Hospital boasts 41 beds distributed across four wards, each equipped with exceptional facilities, including a therapy suite, gym and enclosed sports area, designated art room, therapy kitchen, multi-faith room, and a beautiful therapy garden.
If you want to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges, we encourage you to explore this rewarding opportunity further.

This role is hours per week, initially fixed term for 12 months with the possibility of extending further.
We understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.
What you'll be doing :
- Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights
- Complete assessment and clinical formulation of patients’ problem behaviours and treatment needs
- Provide evidence based individual and group treatment programmes to address or reduce the negative impact of difficulties
- Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes
- Direct and support others to carryout evidence-based clinical psychology interventions
- Ensure all practice complies with BPS and HCPC guidelines
- Take personal responsibility for ensuring that appropriate security procedures are adhered to at all times and that risks are continuously assessed and managed
- Maintain CPD of an HCPC Registered Practitioner Clinical Psychologist and to ensure competence in relation to the administration and scoring to psychological assessments and risk assessments
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, and carers
What you'll have :
We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions. To support this, we are a Disability Confident committed employer.
