Mathematics Teacher sought for a secondary school in King's Lynn
Opportunity to support student achievement within a dedicated teaching department
Open to experienced Mathematics Teachers, ECTs and appropriately qualified international applicants
Are you a dedicated Mathematics Teacher who wants to help students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed? Our client is seeking a committed subject specialist to join a secondary school in King's Lynn, delivering high-quality Mathematics teaching and contributing to the continued development of its students.
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across the relevant key stages, helping learners strengthen their understanding of number, algebra, geometry, statistics and problem-solving. You will be expected to plan carefully structured lessons that build on prior learning, challenge students appropriately and provide opportunities for independent thinking.
The school is looking for someone who can identify barriers to learning and adapt their approach accordingly. You should be confident using questioning, modelling and assessment to establish what students understand, address misconceptions and ensure that learning objectives are achieved.
This is an opportunity to become part of a professional school community where effective teaching, strong relationships and student development are central to the role. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the ongoing improvement of Mathematics provision.
About the School
The school is based in King's Lynn and is looking to appoint a teacher who can make a positive contribution to classroom learning and the wider educational experience. The role will suit someone who is enthusiastic about their subject and understands the importance of making Mathematics relevant, accessible and rewarding.
You will be expected to establish clear expectations, encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and support them in developing the resilience required to tackle challenging questions. A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues, share resources and reflect on teaching practice will be important.
The school welcomes applications from teachers at different stages of their careers, including ECTs who are keen to develop their practice in a supportive professional environment.
Key Duties
Deliver well-planned Mathematics lessons that follow the relevant curriculum and examination requirements.
Develop students’ confidence in applying mathematical methods to a range of problems.
Adapt teaching resources to meet individual learning needs and different levels of attainment.
Assess progress regularly and use the findings to inform lesson planning.
Provide clear feedback and targeted support to improve student understanding.
Promote positive behaviour, independent learning and active participation.
Work with departmental colleagues to maintain consistent teaching and assessment approaches.
Contribute to meetings, curriculum development and wider school activities.
Candidate Requirements
A degree in Mathematics or a relevant subject.
QTS and a recognised teaching qualification, or an appropriate equivalent.
Experience teaching Mathematics or the ability to demonstrate suitable teaching competence.
Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
A commitment to student progress, safeguarding and professional development.
The legal right to work in the UK.
Application
Candidates interested in this Mathematics Teacher position in King's Lynn should submit their CV as soon as possible. Applications from experienced teachers and suitably qualified ECTs are welcome.
