Rate : £14.44 per hour if directly employed or £18.00 per hour if self-employed
Hours : 24 hours per week

A young individual requires support with enhancing their life and maximising their independence.
Role Requirements
You'll support the client with the following :
- personal care (toileting, washing and dressing)
- transfers (to and from their wheelchair, in and out of bed, in and out of the shower and toilet)
- light domestic tasks
- preparing food
- community activities
The client loves fashion, their hair, hip-hop and rap music, enjoys going to the pub and they play games online with friends.
The client has an excellent sense of humour and enjoys having jokes with others. They enjoy going out for food, and say steak is their favourite.
The client has just started a Business Course at University.
The client is looking for a personal assistant who can be sociable and friendly, that he can build a trusting working relationship with. Communication skills are important to them.
Some flexibility may be required to complete specific activities in the community.
You will be required to have a full, clean, driving licence. You will have access to the client’s mobility vehicle.
Working hours
Monday - Friday : 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon
Saturday – Sunday : 1 hour each day, either morning or afternoon - To be agreed
The client also wants to use hours flexibly for support with accessing the community
Further information
The client has Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 3 and is fully wheelchair dependent. The client requires support with transfers to and from the wheelchair, in and out of bed, and with the shower and toilet .
The client is clear that they want to be as independent as possible and does not like to be treated as though they are not able.
There is one cat at the property.
This opportunity is suited for someone who is respectful, reliable, proactive and positive with a sense of humour and good communication skills
