Candidate required :  Commercial Manager Job Type :  Permanent Start date : ASAP Industry :  Construction Professionals South Location :  London The role & about the client : We are recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for an experienced Commercial Manager for a large scale construction project near Hayes in West London. Our client are specialists within the data, defence and energy sectors. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project, ensuring profitability and cost control. Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize project value and mitigate risks. Oversee procurement processes, subcontractor management, and supplier negotiations. Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and financial forecasting. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and company policies. Lead the preparation and negotiation of claims, variations, and final accounts. Provide commercial reporting and strategic advice to senior management. Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. The ideal candidate Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in large-scale construction projects. Strong knowledge of contract management principles, particularly NEC, JCT, or FIDIC contracts. Excellent financial acumen, cost control, and risk management skills. Proficiency in commercial management software and Microsoft Excel. Effective negotiation and stakeholder management abilities. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). Membership with RICS, CIOB, or similar professional body (preferred).
