Role: Personal Assistant
Hours: 4 hours per week - term time and 10 hours per week - during holiday periods
Pay rate: up to £40PH DOE
Location: SL4
Start: ASAP
We are looking for a patient, nurturing Personal Assistant to provide support a young person with autism, ADHD and PDA, as part of an EOTAS (Education Other Than at School) Package. You'll spend time doing the things that matter - swimming, gaming, exploring places of interest, visiting parks, attending events, or simply being alongside and supporting everyday life.
You will work in a close, collaborative team alongside a MDT using a nurturing, pupil centred approach.

- Understand Autism, PDA and neurodiversity-affirming approaches
- Remain calm in tricky moments
- Think creatively and adapt plans
- Enjoy community learning and hands on experiences
- Work collaboratively with MDT
- Respect interests and choices
- Support independence and life skills
- Bring fun, creativity and flexibility
What you'll need:
- Relevant SEN experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with ASD, PDA and ADHD.
- A calm, flexible and patient nature.
- Genuine, trauma informed, child led approach
- Enjoy being active and outdoorsy
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to get one)
- Flexible, creative and responsive rather than agenda-driven
- Able to facilitate incidental learning through the young person interests and activities rather than expecting conventional table-based teaching
- Demonstrate resilience
