• This role is a private arrangement with a person or family who is seeking support for someone else or themselves. You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and / or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council.

Location : Bodmin

A lovely lady in the Bodmin area seeks support from a Personal Assistant to help her with day-to-day tasks. Your role will be to assist with booking, getting to and from any appointments, assisting with helping this lady to learn how to cook healthy homemade meals, and ensuring she has meals available in her freezer to eat. You will ensure she has a shopping list written each week, attend local shops with her and encourage to stick to the list and not overspend where unnecessary.

Rate and support hours :

Hourly rate of pay : £14.72

Hours per week : 12 hours per week

Schedule : Support ideally to be split between Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Friday mornings. Times to be negotiated with the family for the successful candidate.
