Security Guard

Purpose of the job role :

Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

Qualifications and Training :

SIA Approved training desirable.

Level 2 Health and Safety desirable.

Proven experience as a security officer / guard.

Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.

Excellent surveillance and observation skills; tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems; registered as a security officer.

Main Responsibilities :

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Controls traffic by directing drivers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintains organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Working Hours :

4 on 4 off shift pattern 06 : 00 - 18 : 00 hours Monday to Sunday.

Pay :

From £12.44 per hour with additional benefits.
