Job descriptionExperience working in a similar senior position Willingness to remain hands-on – although this is a senior role it is expected for the Head Housekeeper to lead by example and remain hands-on in daily duties Excellent abilities with all aspects of housekeeping – laundress experience would be a real bonus, however, further training on the client’s preferences will be given Strong English preferred – confident dealing with the client’s requests, visitors, and contractors Flexible and hardworking, a team player with good leadership skills Common sense and a good attitude towards the job at hand - energetic and motivated Computer literate / tech savvy Well-presented, smiley, and warm Non-visit : 5 days per week with some weekend working on a rota (this is yet to be finalised) Visit : 6 days per week with mixed days off – sensible and fair rota system in place
Our client, based in Belgravia, is seeking an experienced and skilled Head Housekeeper for this large property with an UHNW family in a part-time residence.
Duties include :
- Managing the team of Housekeepers within the residence (duties, rotas, etc)
- All aspects of hands-on housekeeping including cleaning, tidying, and organising
- Laundry and ironing
- Caring for and maintaining fine fabrics, furnishings, and surfaces
- Acting as a ‘number two’ to the House Manager, supporting all operations within the residence
- Preparation of light breakfasts (eggs, fruit pots etc) on a Sunday when needed – training can be given
- Front of House duties – training given if needed
- Training temporary members of staff during busier periods
- Assessing the schedules already in place and making improvements as necessary
