Futures recruitment are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Coordinator to work for a nationally recognised manufacturing business. The successful applicant will work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to maintain a safe working environment, implement policies, and promote a culture of safety across the organisation. This hands-on role will involve supporting risk assessments, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. The successful Health and Safety coordinator will be an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about health and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development, implementation, and review of health and safety policies and procedures.Support the completion of risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety audits.Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.Deliver health and safety inductions and training sessions for employees and contractors.Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training activities.Assist with the preparation of reports for senior management and external stakeholders.Promote a culture of safety awareness through campaigns and regular communication.Provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Manager, including documentation and correspondence.Skills and Qualification : Prior experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is required. IOSH membership is desirable.Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including COSHH, PUWER, and manual handling
