Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer
Location : Banbury (Oxfordshire)
Time Commitment : Flexible
The Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer will play an important role by providing companionship to someone we support in Banbury and spending time with them, visiting them in the home and doing activities they enjoy. These might include chatting over a cup of tea, reading books, playing board games, etc. Skills required
- To be kind, empathetic and friendly
- To have a good sense of humour and love to chat
- To be punctual and reliable
- To be able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures
Please note that you will need to be over the age of 18 in order to apply for this role. To apply for this role, please click on the 'apply' button below and complete the application form. Upon receipt of your application, a member of our friendly Volunteering Team will contact you for an informal chat and to explain about the next steps. To ensure the safety of the people we support, we will require a DBS check and two satisfactory references before a volunteer role is confirmed. As you will be volunteering directly with vulnerable individuals, you will also be required to undertake safeguarding training, as well as any training which is specific to the role. About Us
