Production Supervisor (Backshift)

ABP UK is a major division of the ABP Food Group with factories in Ireland, UK and Europe. We are a food business that specialises in the supply and development of award-winning British and Irish beef and lamb products for retail, foodservice and wholesale.

Role Definition

Reporting to Backshift Production Manager, working in chill production line area, develop and maintain team performance, meeting production targets, protocols and procedures. Paying special regard to -

Quality, cost control, yield and utilization,

health, safety and ethics,

traceability,

product safety, authenticity and integrity,

labelling and

company, personal and food hygiene rules and legislation

Key Responsibilities

• Produce required products meeting company standards to planned volume and schedule
• ensure necessary replenishment requirements
• ensure strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processes
• Follow traceability process and ensure product and labelling integrity at all times
• drive necessary line efficiency through consistent and correct machine operation
• keep and maintain appropriate records as required
• ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standard and safe operating procedures
• ensure consistent and timely attendance to work
• provide flexibility to meet operating requirements
• provide pro- and re- active supportive verbal and written communication to team members, other supervisors and management
• to ensure all products are sources and manufactured to the food safety and brand integrity requirements, defined by our customers requirements and BRC standards
