Shifts : Dayshift & Backshift Rotation

Salary : up to £43K + Benefits + 12.5% back shift allowance

Alexander Steele have partnered exclusively with a leading food manufacturer in Glasgow who are known for their quality, innovation, and commitment to excellence. We’re seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic production environment where you’ll be responsible for the maintenance of all production machinery, site facilities, and infrastructure , playing a key role in minimising downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

• Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to agreed schedules.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to machinery breakdowns.
• Carry out regular machinery inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Ensure machinery guards, isolators, and safety features are maintained.
• Complete accurate maintenance documentation and job cards.
• Source and manage critical spare parts stock.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Perform production line changeovers in line with the production schedule.
• Maintain the facility and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure contractors follow site H&S and food safety protocols.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

What We're Looking For :

Essential :

Shift Pattern : Dayshift :

Mon – Thurs : 6am – 2 : 30pm

Friday : 6am – 2pm

Backshift (1 week in 3) :

Mon – Thurs : 2pm – 10pm

Friday : 2pm – 9 : 30pm
