Facilities Engineer - Plumbing

Springfield Hospital - Chelmsford

Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

Springfield Hospital is one of Essex's leading private hospitals, renowned for high-quality treatments and services. Opened in 1987, it has 49 bedrooms, including three twin-bedded rooms, all with en-suite facilities to ensure privacy.

The role

We are seeking a multi-skilled Facilities Engineer to join our dedicated facilities team.

The successful candidate will be an expert in plumbing and heating, with skills in other trades, working collaboratively to maintain hospital facilities.

Based mainly at Springfield Hospital, the engineer will also support Oaks Hospital in Colchester and have basic knowledge of the Eastern Sterile Services Centre in Braintree for emergency support.

The role involves participating in an on-call rota, working 1 week in 5, with an additional pay rate for on-call duties.

What you will bring

• City & Guilds Qualifications or equivalent (e.g., Plumbing - C&G 6035, Craft, C&G 6189, Water Regulations, Unvented Systems)
• Full driver's license and access to a vehicle
• Experience in hospital facilities (desirable)
• A logical and practical approach, prioritizing patient and colleague safety
