Job description

JMR REQUIRE A QUALIFIED DOMESTIC HEATING ENGINEER IN CHELMSFORD, ESSEX.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
  • First class face-to-face customer service and communication skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy.
  • Able to complete invoicing and all associated paperwork, forms etc.
  • Able to survey for new boiler installations and associated plumbing (Essential)
  • Able to work unsupervised and manage your own workload
  • Current Gas Safe Registration (Essential)
  • Gas Safe Card & ACS (Essential)
  • 3+ years experience as a qualified gas / oil engineer (Essential)
  • 3+ years experience installing, servicing & gas and oil (optional) boilers as well as strong fault-finding / diagnostic experience. (Essential)
  • NVQ / City & Guilds plumbing qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Air Source / Ground Source Heat Pumps would be a bonus.
  • Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
  • Able to have an Enhanced DBS check (once employed - company pays for this)
  • Full Clean UK driving licence - held for a minimum of 2 years (essential)
  • We will provide the training any OFTEC qualifications for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE :

  • Carry out boiler installs and associated plumbing, service gas / oil boilers (training can be provided for the oil side) fault-finding and repairs within domestic and commercial properties
  • You will also be required to work at schools, adult homes

    • WORKING HOURS & PAY

  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday. 8am-5.30pm
  • Weekend Rota to be worked
