The Role
We are seeking an experienced Digital Print Technician / Print Operator with expertise in large format printing and RIP software. This role involves preparing print-ready artwork, managing colour workflows, and operating wide format digital printers to deliver high-quality output.
This is a hands-on position for someone with a background in wide format printing, signage, textiles, or packaging production, who can confidently manage prepress files and print workflows in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, check, and process artwork files using RIP software (Raster Imaging Processor).
- Manage colour workflows, ICC profiling, and colour calibration to maintain accuracy.
- Work with AVA CAD / AVA Print Factory or similar prepress software for file setup and layout adjustments.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot large format digital printers and finishing equipment.
- Oversee production from file preparation to proofing and final output.
- Ensure high-quality standards and efficiency are maintained across all jobs.
Requirements
Proven experience in large format digital print production (signage, POS, exhibition graphics, textile, or packaging).Strong knowledge of RIP software (e.g. AVA Print Factory, Caldera, Onyx, or similar).Experience with AVA CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or other prepress / design tools.Understanding of colour management, profiling, and workflow optimisation.Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organisational skills.Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, deadline-driven print environment.Benefits
