Job Title : Commercial Gas Engineer

Location : Essex and London

Salary : Competitive – Based on Experience

Employment Type : Full-Time, Permanent

Company Overview : Our client is a well-established and respected company within the building services and facilities management sector. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team and support operations across various contract sites in the Essex and London areas.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and installation of commercial gas systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on gas appliances and plant.
  • Commission new installations and ensure systems are safe and compliant.
  • Work independently to resolve issues on site with minimal supervision.
  • Interpret pipework schematic drawings and fabricate systems as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and communicate effectively with clients and office staff.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience :

  • Valid Commercial Gas ticket (ACS qualifications).
  • Proven experience in a similar commercial gas engineering role.
  • Confident in working independently with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with installation and commissioning of various boiler manufacturers.
  • Full UK driving licence – essential.
  • CSCS card .
  • Right to Work in the UK .
  • Recent DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read and work from schematic drawings.
