Job description

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Description

Join a leadership team built for success.

Are you ready to lead digital transformation at scale? As a Senior Programme Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of our delivery excellence in the UK. Operating within GlobalLogic's innovative leadership framework, you'll partner closely with a Client Lead and Offshore Engineering heads to ensure every project is a masterpiece of precision and quality.

The Role at a Glance:

  • Act as the primary advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating high-level vision into tangible outcomes.
  • Orchestrate distributed teams to deliver world-class AI products and platforms.
  • Build the trust and technical credibility that turns projects into long-term partnerships.

Requirements

Delivery & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with GlobalLogic's Delivery Framework and the client's governance processes.
  • Engage in the full pre-sales cycle, preparing client proposals and defining Statements of Work (SOW) that are technically viable and commercially sound.
  • Maintain high-level fluency in current technology shifts-specifically Cloud, Migration, Data, and AI-to ensure delivery remains relevant and provides a credible bridge between client business goals and engineering execution.

Project Governance & Financial Rigour

  • Take ultimate responsibility for the financial health and P&L of your portfolio ensuring high-quality delivery that protects and grows margins.
  • Establish a robust governance matrix that aligns with GlobalLogic's Delivery Framework (GLDF) and the client's internal processes, ensuring 100% referenceability.
  • Proactively identify engagement risks-from technical debt to resource bottlenecks-and manage senior stakeholder expectations through clear, data-driven communication.

Global Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor large, distributed teams across multiple geographies, defining the right operating models to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Act as the primary delivery point of escalation for C-suite stakeholders, managing expectations and identifying new opportunities for business improvement.
  • Lead by example, fostering a supportive and learning culture for other Project and Programme Managers within the organization.

Job responsibilities

What You Bring to the Role

  • Deep experience in Digital Engineering or IT Consulting, specifically within high-scale, global delivery models.
  • A track record of delivering complex client programmes with annual revenues of £5M+.
  • Ability to command the "big picture" while maintaining the focus to dive into details, ensuring you are a credible, trusted advisor to C-suite executives.
  • Extensive experience in global, multi-country stakeholder management, leading distributed teams in excess of 100+ people.
  • High-level fluency in Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and the SDLC. You can supervise delivery and interrogate architectural decisions without needing to be the hands-on Technical Lead.
  • Extensive experience overseeing high-stakes digital transformations, including challenging incumbent vendor transitions and Organizational Change Management (OCM).
  • An expert in global coordination and governance, with deep experience in financial rigour, resource optimization, and proactive risk management.
  • An expert in modern delivery methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile (SAFe).
  • A collaborative leader with the communication skills to influence both internal engineering pods and external client stakeholders.
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and driving referenceable delivery outcomes.
  • Academic Foundation: A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
