Job descriptionYou will have relevant maritime claims handling experience of circa 5 years with experience of general average and salvage, national and international conventions. Candidates must be familiar with rules surrounding Bills of Lading, Charter Parties and Contracts of Affreightment. This role requires excellent organisational skills and a solid shipping background with a focus on salvage claims. Overview
Our client : A leading organisation providing specialist claims support services to the maritime sector.
The Role
- The post holder will be responsible for managing a varied workload with a focus on handling marine salvage claims.
- This will involve liaising with clients and Surveyors.
- Working with and appointing experts including Adjusters, Lawyers, Shipowners / Salvors.
- Handling, advising on and reviewing new claims, considering recovery potential.
- Presenting claims to opponents, advising on liability and settlement of claims.
