Please note that this role will be exclusively working in the field visiting your customers - Monday to Friday. You will be in the Birmingham region, selling technology solutions to SME retail and hospitality businesses, and will join one of Europe\'s leading technology providers within the payments industry.

What you will do
As a member of the Client Acquisition Team at Viva.com, you will generate business opportunities and convert provided sales leads into customer appointments, progressing to close sales for payment card terminals and related merchant acquiring services through digital and face-to-face contact with new clients. You will provide a first-class face-to-face service in the field, aligned to customer needs and act as a trusted partner in a defined geographical region.
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients, through self-generated activities and sales leads provided to you.
- Evaluate data and information about prospects, build rapport and business relationships by visiting and in-person validating current needs in relation to Viva.com offerings.
- Maximise reach by obtaining referrals from the existing client base.
- Proactively seek new sales opportunities through networking, digital prospecting and customer / area canvassing.
- Deliver positive, compelling presentations of products and services based on a deep understanding of the market and features / advantages relevant to the prospect.
- Close by selling Viva.com products and services.
- Enter and update customer data and other useful information in the CRM system.
- Undertake all relevant training and refresh training as relevant to your role.
- Promote a team spirit and be prepared to learn from colleagues.
- Demonstrate expertise in B2B sales, selling solutions to SME retail and hospitality businesses at mid- to senior-level management.
- Show a track record of consistently achieving sales quotas in past positions.
- Have a good understanding of information technology, particularly web-based applications.
- Demonstrate excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Experience in working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Show outstanding negotiation and sales skills with proven closing ability.
- Maintain strong organizational and diary management skills.
- Be resilient and persistent, able to handle objections.
- Adopt a results-driven approach with strong self-drive, and the ability to work under pressure to achieve sales targets.
- Be motivated to succeed, both personally and financially.
- Hold a valid driving license and be able to use your own vehicle for business purposes (expenses paid).
- Excellent use of English.
- Advantageous but not essential : previous experience in banking or with Card Terminals.
- Experience in demonstrating or selling technology-driven solutions.
- Understanding of financial products / services features and advantages.
