Overview
Lead Engineer to join the Maintenance Department. This role involves overseeing a team of Engineers, working Monday–Friday with ad hoc weekends. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The successful candidate must reside in or near the area, as the position is based at the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provision of engineering maintenance and breakdown support to the hospital.
- Management and reporting of R&M budgets, reviewing and commenting as appropriate.
- Management of environment and energy reduction.
- Provide competent technical, health, safety and environmental support and assistance to EDs and local Hospital Managers, Project Managers and / or Minor Works Managers.
- Work with the senior leadership team to develop and implement the management tools necessary to operate their facilities to the required standard.
- Liaise with the Regional Engineering Manager and Hospital Operations Manager to support and advise on appropriate engineering issues.
- Cover cluster sites to meet on-call requirements.
- Attend regional / cluster meetings and training courses when required.
- Provide support to sites within your cluster when required for holiday, sickness, vacancies, and general support provision.
