Electrician
Location: Cornwall
Salary: £38-42,000 per annum basic and circa £52,000 OTE

DK Recruitment are proud to working with a fantastic organisation who are delivering M&E works for a housing provider in Cornwall. This is a hands‑on role covering installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and fault‑finding of electrical systems, including domestic heating controls.
The Role
You’ll work efficiently and safely to deliver a high standard of workmanship while providing an excellent service to clients and residents. The role includes reactive repairs, planned works, and participation in an on‑call rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair electrical systems
- Wire and fault‑find domestic heating control systems
- Respond to breakdowns, remedial works, and urgent call‑outs
- Manage your own jobs, parts ordering, and documentation
- Liaise professionally with residents, clients, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with all industry standards, codes of practice, and company procedures
- Complete job records, certificates, timesheets, and reports accurately
- Maintain PPE, calibrated tools, and safe working practices at all times
Skills & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (AM2)
- 2391 or 2395 & 2394 Testing & Inspection
- Gold ECS NVQ Level 3 Card
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with door entry or warden call systems (desirable but not essential)
- Confident using mobile PDA systems
Experience Required
- Background in social housing installation and maintenance (preferred)
- Experience wiring domestic heating systems or willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence
- DBS check required
