We are seeking a highly capable and delivery-focused Engineering Service Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate engineering support across complex defence programmes in the Maritime and Aerospace domains . This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of engineering services, integrating technical support, logistics, and stakeholder engagement across multiple platforms and disciplines.
The successful candidate will operate within a multi-disciplinary environment, managing service delivery across the full lifecycle—from mobilisation through sustainment—while ensuring compliance with MOD standards and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of engineering services across maritime and aerospace platforms, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and customer expectations.
- Act as the primary interface between engineering teams, support functions, and customer stakeholders.
- Coordinate technical support activities including maintenance planning, obsolescence management, and through-life support.
- Ensure engineering services are delivered in accordance with MOD standards (e.g. DEF STAN 00-600, JSPs) and industry best practices.
- Lead service readiness reviews, supportability assessments, and performance reporting.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Support the integration of new capabilities into existing platforms, ensuring seamless transition and operational readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering support functions.
- Provide input into bids, proposals, and contract change activities related to service delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in engineering service delivery within the defence sector, ideally across both maritime and aerospace domains.Strong understanding of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Through-Life Support (TLS), and supportability engineering.Familiarity with MOD frameworks including CADMID, DEF STANs, and JSP documentation.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences.Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating across suppliers and internal functions.Strong organisational and planning skills, with a focus on delivery and performance metrics.SC Clearance (or ability to obtain).Desirable Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.Experience with digital engineering tools and service management platforms.Knowledge of maritime and aerospace operational environments and constraints.#J-18808-Ljbffr
