Field Service Engineer required in the Midlands Area.
Our client, a well-established leader in automated storage solutions, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join their growing engineering team, covering the Midlands area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, annual servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on automated storage systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults independently.
- Support system upgrades, including software updates.
- Assist with the commissioning and installation of new systems at client sites.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
- Provide technical support and product training to clients.
- Complete and submit accurate service reports and documentation promptly.
- Manage travel and schedule efficiently.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of automated storage products and systems.
- Represent our client professionally with a friendly and presentable manner.
- Occasional national and international travel (for training purposes).
Requirements
Strong willingness to learn and a hands-on, proactive approach.Experience or qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or general engineering.Excellent fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills.Full UK driving licence with minimal points.Flexibility for regional and occasional national travel (including overnight stays).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Professional presentation and a customer-first attitude.High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.Experience in storage solutions or materials handling (desirable but not essential).Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.Rewards / Benefits
