Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - Reading

TA - Primary School in Reading, ASAP Start. Mainstream primary establishment with 1 : 1 support for a child with SEN (Behaviour Support).

Details

Location : Reading

Salary : £89-£100 per day

Type : Long-term, full-time

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1 : 1 support for a child in Year 3 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who has SEMH needs, with both physical and cognitive considerations.
  • Support the child in a mainstream primary environment, focusing on behaviour management and safeguarding.
  • Work closely with the SENCO to implement strategies and support ongoing development and consistency for the child.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experienced in a similar setting working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and demonstrate patience and consistency.
  • Enthusiasm and genuine passion for working with children with SEN / Autism; understanding of SEMH needs is advantageous.
